Diode

A diode module is a power semiconductor device that integrates one or more power diode chips into a single package using a specific circuit topology (such as single-diode, common-cathode, or three-phase bridge configurations). Its core function is rectification—converting alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC).

Diode modules are designed to handle an extremely wide range of voltages and currents. Typical voltage ratings range from 200 V to 1,600 V, with some reaching 6,500 V or even 11,000 V; current ratings range from 10 A to 2,500 A. These modules typically use direct copper-clad (DCB) substrates for heat dissipation, and some employ glass-passivated chip technology to enhance the voltage withstand capability and reliability of the PN junction.
