About Caterpillar Inc.

  • Caterpillar Inc. is a global leader in the field of construction machinery and mining equipment. It has been included in Fortune magazine’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list for 16 consecutive years and has consistently ranked first in the Yellow Table 2017 ranking of the world’s top 50 construction machinery manufacturers.

  • This rectifier assembly is a special R&D project of the Semiconductor Division. Development began in 2012, during which countless technical challenges were overcome. The assembly samples successfully passed long-term stringent on-board field tests. With superior electrical parameters and higher operational reliability, it passed various certifications in one go, defeated international competitors, and received high praise from Caterpillar’s global R&D team.

  • After passing this certification, the rectifier assembly officially enters the mass production stage, and a stable supply relationship will be formed over the next decade.

  • The certification of this rectifier assembly by Caterpillar marks that domestic complex power component products and design capabilities have reached internationally leading levels. It not only establishes significant influence in the international mining truck industry but also lays a solid foundation for future entry into IGBT-based converter systems for mining machinery. Currently, further negotiations between Caterpillar and CRRC Times Semiconductor regarding IGBT cooperation are underway.
